Biosecurity Engagement Program (BEP)

The mission of the Biosecurity Engagement Program (BEP) is to reduce the risks posed by biological threats. BEP efforts leverage technical resources and experts from numerous U.S. agencies, universities, international organizations, NGOs, and the National Academies of Sciences to meet its core objectives. In every country where BEP is active, the overarching goal of our programmatic activities is to work with governments, scientists, and other stakeholders to build sustainable capacity for biosecurity, biosafety, disease surveillance, and cooperative scientific research.
