Mr. Plebeian Medina, for their visionary creation of the BRMO Academy.

This educational platform serves as a vital conduit for providing didactic and hands-on training in the fundamentals, current technologies, and practices of Biosafety and biosecurity. By establishing the Academy, the RITM further solidifies its role as an integral component in the generational objective of fostering and sustaining a culture of excellence in this new discipline within the Philippines.

This remarkable and intuitive creation, made possible through the generous support of Health Security Partners, marks a significant milestone in our journey towards fulfilling the Department of Health’s commitment to national security and safety in handling biological samples. By integrating its role in ensuring public health service to both our country and the global community, the BRMO Academy’s virtual training program represents a giant leap forward.

I would like to commend the BRMO team and the core experts for their tremendous efforts in developing the first official virtual training curriculum. This unified educational tool, operating under the auspices of the Director’s office, is a testament to their dedication and expertise. I will do my best to effectively support and sustain the program for the greater interest of the DOH’s role to this new discipline.
